Horses of No One is a small pocket book of poetry in Spanish written by my father Francisco Duarte and illustrated by performative works of Arte Urgente. These poems illustrate a time period between 1950 and today in a journey of poverty, migration, movement and memory. The work visits materials that once dominated a workers surroundings in small towns of Mexico that took shape through the changes of his surroundings. This collection of poems juxtaposed with video stills of art works performed throughout Latin America, Unites States and Germany is a soft reminder of the simple evidence needed to imagine other worlds possible.
